HOW TO ROOT YOUR HTC WILDFIRE S (and any other HTC phone)
Requirements:
- Make sure your HTC device is fully charged or at least 50%, if you don’t have to encounter any issues.
- Make sure that you have an USB cable that is compatible with your HTC device.
- I strongly recommend you to backup all your personal data, so you won’t lose anything in case something goes wrong.
- This tutorial is compatible only on with HTC devices, which means that is not recommended to use it on any other device.
- I recommend you to use a Windows PC for this tutorial. (I don’t know for sure if it’s working on any other OS).
- Download the following files HTC Supertool and HTC Drivers
- Once the “HTC Driver” is downloaded, just install it.
- After that, you’ll have to extract the “Super Tool v3” file, you’ve just downloaded, into a new folder using an extracting program like WinRar or WinZip.
- First enable USB Debugging mode by going to Setting > Application > Development, tap on "USB Debugging"
- Connect your HTC Wildfire S to the PC via USB cable.
- Go to your PC and run the “Super Tool” program as administrator.
- Once it has loaded, Press 1 to prepare your phone using the Zergrush method.
- Once completed, press 3 to root your HTC Wildfire S!
- When succeeded, type reboot to reboot your HTC Wildfire S.
