How to Find a Website's IP Address

There are many ways to obtain and use a website's IP address. This is an easy way to find them using an online tool or a PC.

Using Windows

Navigate to START → Run

Enter cmd and press enter to open up the Command Prompt
window. The following window should appear:

Enter ping, followed by the name of the website (e.g. ping wikihow.com). You should see the following

Take note of the results. The IP address will appear on the very first line of output (as highlighted in the image below), as well as several additional times on the screen. IP addresses have four numbers, 0-255, separated by periods.
